1. Acceptance Of Terms

By downloading, accessing, or using Dumpling, you agree to these Terms of Service and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

You must be at least 13 years old to use Dumpling. If you are under the age of majority in your country or region, you may use Dumpling only with permission from a parent or legal guardian.

2. What Dumpling Provides

Dumpling helps you create, organize, version, cook from, and improve personal recipes. It also supports stored ingredients, shopping lists, timers, cooking logs, images, links, categories, tags, local storage, and user-selected iCloud Drive storage.

Dumpling is provided as a personal productivity and cooking organization tool. It is not a professional culinary, nutritional, medical, allergen, food-safety, or dietary advice service.

3. Your Content

You keep ownership of the recipes, images, ingredient lists, notes, files, and other content you create or import into Dumpling. You are responsible for the content you add and for making sure you have the right to store or use it.

Dumpling stores your content locally or in the iCloud Drive folder you choose. Dumpling does not promise that external edits, malformed files, deleted images, unavailable iCloud folders, or conflicting file changes can always be recovered.

4. Dumpling Intellectual Property

Dumpling, including the app, design, code, interface, icons, documentation, product name, and related materials, is owned by Dumpling or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not give you ownership of Dumpling or permission to copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, or create derivative works from the app, except where applicable law allows it.

You may use Dumpling for your personal recipe, ingredient, shopping, and cooking workflow in accordance with these Terms and the App Store rules that apply to apps distributed through Apple.

5. Backups And Data Responsibility

You are responsible for backing up important recipe files and images. Local app-container data may be removed if you uninstall the app. iCloud Drive files are managed through your Apple ID, iCloud settings, device settings, and Apple's services.

6. Permissions And Optional Features

Some features require optional permissions, such as camera access, photo selection, microphone access, speech recognition, notifications, or iCloud Drive folder access. You can decline optional permissions, but some related features may not work.

Features that use speech recognition, photo review, structured parsing, or system models may produce incomplete or incorrect drafts. You should review generated or parsed results before saving or relying on them.

7. Purchases And Access

Dumpling may offer a free plan with storage limits and an in-app purchase called Dumpling Unlimited or a similar unlock. Purchases are handled by Apple through the App Store and StoreKit. Purchase availability, payment, taxes, refunds, family sharing, and billing are subject to Apple's rules and your App Store account settings.

A purchase unlocks app functionality; it does not transfer ownership of your content to Dumpling and does not create a promise of separate cloud hosting for your personal recipe library.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse Dumpling. For example, you must not:

  • attempt to reverse engineer, disrupt, or compromise the app beyond what law allows;
  • use Dumpling to store or distribute content that violates others' rights;
  • misrepresent generated, parsed, or imported content as verified professional advice;
  • use the app in a way that violates applicable laws or App Store rules.

9. Third-Party Services

Dumpling may rely on Apple services for app distribution, purchases, iCloud Drive, speech recognition, notifications, and system permissions. Release builds may also use Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics for app analytics and crash diagnostics. Third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

10. Updates And Changes

Dumpling may change over time. Features may be added, changed, limited, or removed. We may update these Terms when the app, business model, platform requirements, or legal obligations change. Continued use after an update means you accept the updated Terms.

11. Disclaimers

Dumpling is provided "as is" and "as available" to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, loss-free, or compatible with every file, device, operating system version, storage provider, language, or locale.

Recipes, timers, ingredient quantities, expiration information, and generated drafts may be inaccurate or incomplete. You are responsible for checking cooking instructions, allergens, ingredient safety, storage safety, and timer results before relying on them.

12. Limitation Of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Dumpling and its developers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, goodwill, or other intangible losses arising from your use of or inability to use the app.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of these limitations may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be limited under applicable law.

13. Termination

You may stop using Dumpling at any time. We may suspend or discontinue app functionality if needed to comply with law, platform requirements, security needs, or service changes.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, except for its conflict of law rules, unless the laws of your place of residence require a different rule.
