iOS App Studio · Founded 2022

Focused iOS apps for a slightly better everyday.

App Garage is a small iOS studio. We build native apps that each ease a single everyday friction — and keep your data on your device by default.

Why we build

We start from nearby discomforts.

Founded in 2022, App Garage does not limit itself to one domain. If an app can make a small part of life easier, clearer, or more pleasant, it is worth exploring.

A Better Everyday

We make apps because small improvements can accumulate into genuinely better days. The goal is not spectacle, but useful progress people can feel in daily life.

Integrated Product Craft

Planning, design, and iOS development are handled together so decisions stay close to the user experience from the first idea to the final interaction.

Domain-Agnostic

The category can change whenever there is a real problem an app can improve. What stays fixed is the standard for usefulness, clarity, and care.

How we build

Built as complete iOS products, not isolated features.

Each app is shaped through the full product loop — from the first observation to ongoing support after release.

  1. Observe

Each product starts from one concrete behavior we watch closely, then trims away everything that does not support it.

  2. Design

Interface decisions and technical decisions are made together, so the experience stays coherent from the first idea.

  3. Build

We build with iOS conventions and native technology so the apps feel familiar, fast, and comfortable on iPhone.

  4. Release & Support

Release notes, support, app documents, and product improvements stay part of the work after launch.

Your data

User data belongs to the user.

Data is one of App Garage's core principles: keep personal information under the user's control and avoid collecting what the product does not truly need.

Local-First When Possible

Culture Garage, Wallnut, and Dumpling are designed without server-based account sync. Personal libraries stay on the user's device by default.

iCloud for Convenience

Keeping data private should not make the product painful to use, so iCloud sync is used where it helps users manage their information across devices.

Minimum Necessary Data

When server sync is necessary, as with Paletty, the app asks only for what it needs and avoids unnecessary personal attributes such as age or gender.

Our apps

Apps shaped by that philosophy.

Each app approaches a different everyday area, but the direction is shared: improve a small problem, keep the experience focused, and respect user data.
