Privacy Policy: https://www.appgarage.app/apps/culture-garage/privacy/

These terms explain the conditions for using Culture Garage. Please review these terms and the Privacy Policy before using the app. If you purchase a paid subscription, the conditions shown on the App Store purchase screen and Apple's terms and policies also apply.

The app is provided through the Apple App Store. App Store transactions, including paid subscriptions, refunds, and payments, are also governed by the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions, App Store policies, and the user's Apple account settings.

1. Service

The app provides movie and TV show search, personal library management, watch status, episode progress, ratings, comments, recommendations, widgets, release notifications, iCloud sync, backups, and friend reaction sharing. Some features may require a premium subscription, iCloud, network connection, iOS permissions, supported on-device features, or availability of external content services.

2. Eligibility

  • Users must use the app in accordance with applicable laws and Apple App Store policies.
  • If a minor uses paid subscriptions or sharing features, consent and supervision from a guardian may be required.
  • Users must have the necessary rights and authority for information they enter or share while using the app.

3. User Responsibilities

  • Users are responsible for managing their library, ratings, comments, profile, avatar images, backup files, and shared content lawfully and without infringing the rights of others.
  • Because people who receive a friend sharing link may access shared data, users are responsible for managing links and invitees.
  • Backup files are stored in locations selected by the user, and users are responsible for their storage, transfer, deletion, and security.
  • Users must not reverse engineer, modify, abuse automation, interfere with the service, extract API keys, or bypass security measures.

4. Prohibited Conduct

  • Infringing another person's privacy, copyright, portrait rights, reputation, or other rights.
  • Storing or sharing illegal, harmful, harassing, hateful, deceptive, spam, or malicious content.
  • Interfering with the normal operation of the app, iCloud/CloudKit sharing, external content APIs, or the App Store payment system.
  • Using data, images, reviews, ratings, or metadata from external content providers in violation of their terms.

5. Premium Subscriptions

  • The app may offer monthly or annual premium subscriptions through StoreKit.
  • The subscription price, period, free trial, and renewal conditions shown on the App Store purchase screen prevail.
  • Subscription payments are charged to the user's Apple account when the purchase is confirmed.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current subscription period, and renewal charges may be billed to the Apple account before the current period ends.
  • Users can manage or cancel subscriptions in App Store account settings. Deleting the app does not automatically cancel a subscription.
  • Purchase restoration can be performed through the app settings screen or App Store features.
  • Refunds and withdrawal of purchase are governed by Apple's App Store refund policy and applicable laws.
  • Premium features may be limited depending on app version, operating system, iCloud status, network status, or Apple service status.

6. iCloud Sync and Friend Sharing

  • iCloud sync may be affected by the user's Apple ID, iCloud settings, storage space, network status, and Apple CloudKit service status.
  • If the user turns off iCloud sync, the app may stop using CloudKit sync and attempt to clean up the related CloudKit zone.
  • Friend sharing is based on CloudKit shares created or accepted by the user, and sharing participants may view the profile and reactions shared by the user.
  • Stopping sharing, removing participants, and blocking operate within the scope provided by the app and may not revoke content that another person has already viewed.
  • The app cannot control information forwarded, reshared, or captured by people who receive a sharing link or invitation.

7. Notifications, Widgets, and Search Indexes

  • Release notifications depend on user settings, iOS notification permissions, background refresh, and the accuracy of content data.
  • Widgets and Spotlight/Handoff features may vary in displayed content or refresh timing depending on iOS system status, cache, App Group data, and operating system policies.
  • Notification or widget information is provided for reference and may differ from actual release dates, broadcast dates, or availability information.

8. External Content and Third-Party Services

The app may display content information, images, trailers, video thumbnails, ratings, reviews, availability, and metadata from external sources such as TMDB, OMDb, YouTube, Wikidata, KOBIS, KMDb, CNC, TVmaze, and JustWatch. The app does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, freshness, or availability of that information. External content and services may be governed by each provider's terms, licenses, copyright policies, and privacy policies. The app does not guarantee official distribution, viewing availability, ratings, release dates, or availability information for content.

9. Intellectual Property

  • Rights to the app's software, UI, logo, design, and App Garage-created content belong to App Garage or the rightful owner.
  • Movie and TV show titles, posters, images, reviews, ratings, provider logos, and external metadata may belong to their respective rights holders or providers.
  • Users may use the app only for personal, non-commercial purposes and must not copy, redistribute, or sell the app or external content without authorization.

10. Changes and Suspension

App features may be changed or discontinued for improvements, bug fixes, operational needs, external API changes, Apple policy changes, legal compliance, or security reasons. External service outages, network issues, operating system changes, API limitations, or data provider policy changes may temporarily or permanently limit some features.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

App Garage works to provide the app reliably, but does not guarantee fitness for a particular purpose, uninterrupted use, error-free operation, data accuracy, continued availability of external content, or quality of recommendation results. Users should maintain separate backups for important data.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, App Garage is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from use or inability to use the app, data loss, backup management failure, external service outages, subscription management delays, content information errors, or careless management of sharing links. Liability that cannot be excluded under intentional misconduct, gross negligence, or consumer protection laws is not excluded.

13. Privacy

Privacy matters for the app are governed by the separate Privacy Policy.

14. Changes to Terms

These terms may be revised due to changes in app features, operations, Apple policies, external services, or laws. Important changes may be announced in the app or on the distribution page with the effective date and changed contents. Revised terms take effect from the announced effective date.

15. Governing Law and Disputes

These terms are interpreted under the laws of the Republic of Korea. If a dispute arises, the user and App Garage will attempt to resolve it in good faith. If it cannot be resolved by consultation, the jurisdiction or dispute resolution procedure prescribed by applicable laws will apply.
